South Cobb Medical Science Magnet Open House Oct 24

South Cobb Academy of Research and Medical Sciences Magnet Program is hosting their fall Open House on Thursday, October 24 at 7 PM.  The meeting will be held in the South Cobb theater.

North Cobb Magnet Open House

The North Cobb Magnet Program for International Studies is hosting their fall Open House on Tuesday, October 22^nd at 6:30 PM.  The meeting will be held in the North Cobb Media Center.

Choice Bus Presentation for 7th and 8th Grade Oct 16-17

The Choice Busis an experience-based learning tool designed to show young people the power of education, as well as the likely consequences of choosing to drop out of school. It contains a full scale replica of a prison cell which is hidden behind a curtain and flat screen television. Upon entering the bus, a four-minute movie will quiz the audience on the earning potential of a dropout versus a high-school and college graduate. The movie also features several powerful testimonials from people who regret dropping out - prison inmates. When the movie is finished, the cell is revealed demonstrating the stark reality experienced by many dropouts. Students are then invited into the prison cell to briefly experience the uncomfortable living conditions. As students exit the bus, they receive a pledge card and are asked to make a commitment to finish school and make good choices. The Choice Bus experience is approximately twenty minutes long and is designed for grades 6-10.

Campbell International Baccalaureate Magnet Open House

Campbell International Baccalaureate Magnet program is hosting an Open House for interested parents and students on Thursday October 17^th at 7:00 PM.  The meeting will be held in the Campbell High School Auditorium.

Upcoming Open House Dates

Pebblebrook Magnet Program is hosting its fall Open House for interested 8th graders and parents on Friday, October 11 starting at 7:30 PM at the Cobb Civic Center.  Registration begins at 6:30.

Kennesaw Mountain Magnet Academy for Math, Science, and Technology is hosting their Open House on Monday, October 14 starting at 6:30 PM at the Kennesaw Mountain School theater.
